ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: Following review of the complaint herein, and in light of the Supreme Court's decision in TC Heartland LLC v. Kraft Foods Grp. Brands LLC, 137 S.Ct. 1514, 1519 (2017) (holding that in patent infringement actions, venue is exclusively governed by 28 U.S.C. 1400(b)), plaintiff's counsel is ORDERED to file a letter by November 11, 2022 stating with specificity counsel's basis for venue in this action. See also UI Techs., Inc. v. Ricoma Int'l Corp., No. 22-CV-00220 (JMA), 2022 WL 1693633, at *2 (E.D.N.Y. May 26, 2022) ("Under 1400(b), venue is proper either in the judicial district where the defendant resides, or where the defendant has committed acts of infringement and has a regular and established place of business.")
