ORDER granting #7 Motion to Stay. The Court has reviewed the parties' joint motion for a stay of this action pending resolution of proceedings in front of the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) #7 . The parties have noted that the plaintiff's motion to transfer this action for consolidation with at least 43 other lawsuits involving similar claims has been fully briefed as of October 18, 2023 and is pending before the JPML. The parties have noted that proceeding as part of an MDL would promote judicial efficiency. Accordingly, the joint motion is granted. The parties are directed to file a joint status report on the result of those proceedings one week after the JPML rules on the pending motion for transfer. Ordered by Judge Nusrat J. Choudhury on 10/20/2023. (DE) |
