April 24, 2017 Opinion or Order Filing 53 ORDER: with respect to #51 Letter Motion for Local Rule 37.2 Conference. The court has appointed Special Master Daniel A. Pollack to conduct and preside over settlement negotiations between and among the parties to this litigation. NML Capital, Ltd. v. Republic of Argentina, 08-cv-6978, ECF No. 705. Non-party Euroclear Bank SA/ NV ("Euroclear") has now requested a conference in connection with an anticipated motion to quash subpoenas, which were served on Euroclear by plaintiffs. The Court has said, on numerous occasions, that these cases must be settled. The Court directs the parties, as well as Euroclear, to appear before the Special Master in an effort to settle the litigation and to resolve the anticipated motion to quash. If the Special Master is not able to bring about a settlement of the litigation or an agreement on the application to quash, the Special Master shall report the status of the dispute to the Court, in whatever manner he deems appropriate in his sole discretion.
