March 25, 2015 Opinion or Order Filing 141 ORDER: By letter dated March 25, 2015, counsel for plaintiff requests that the plaintiff representative, Jane Russell, be permitted to appear by telephone at the settlement conference scheduled for tomorrow. This request had been made informally by plaintiff's counsel before and the Court directed that Ms. Russell must attend the settlement conference in person. The Court again denies counsel's request to permit Ms. Russell to appear by telephone. This case is scheduled for trial on Monday, March 30, 2015. Accordingly, there is no hardship to Ms. Russell in requiring that she travel to New York a few days sooner. If Ms. Russell fails to appear at tomorrow's settlement conference the Court will consider sanctions against her and/or her lawyer. In light of counsel's outrageous and unfounded accusations regarding my law clerk, Mr. Pu is prohibited from informally communicating with chambers without prior court approval.
