Filing 35 CLERK'S JUDGMENT re: 34 Order Adopting Report and Recommendations in favor of Cengage Learning, Inc., Does 1-10, Elsevier, Inc., John Wiley & Sons, Inc., McGraw-Hill Global Education Holdings, LLC, Pearson Education, Inc. against Does 1-1 0, Farukh Khan, Jeong Hyun Chu, Joonwon Park, Masud Karim, Rabiul Islam in the amount of $6,100,000.00. It is hereby ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED: That for the reasons stated in the Court's Order dated August 17, 2020, Judge Freeman 039;s R&R is adopted in its entirety. Plaintiffs are awarded total statutory damages of $6.1 million, at a rate of $100,000 for each infringed work. Defendants are jointly and severally liable. Although Plaintiffs also request post-judgm ent interest, "the amount of any such interest...[is] dictated by statute, see 28 U.S.C. § 1961, and need not be provided for in the judgment itself." Filing 26 ORDER: On June 8, 2018, this Court issued an Order to Show Cause why a default judgment and permanent injunction should not be entered against Defendants. Defendants have not filed an opposition and did not appear at the June 22, 2018 hearing. (As f urther set forth in this Order.) For the reasons stated above, Plaintiffs' motion for a default judgment and permanent injunction is granted.
