January 28, 2021 Opinion or Order Filing 13 MEMO ENDORSEMENT on re: #12 Letter, filed by Ronald G. Taylor. ENDORSEMENT: With respect to plaintiffs allegations regarding the removal of the case, plaintiff is free to file a motion to remand. Plaintiff may wish to seek assistance from the New York Legal Assistance clinic at (212) 659-6190. Any questions about Court procedures may be directed to the Pro Se Intake Unit at the United States Courthouse, 40 Centre Street, Room 105, New York, New York ((212) 805-0175). Unless an order is issued remanding the case, however, it must be litigated in this Court. It is unclear what plaintiff is requesting with respect to the date of May 3, 2021. If the request is to stay this case, that request is denied. The Court is sorry to learn of the condition of the plaintiff's mother, and hopeful regarding the news that her condition is improving. That condition, however, cannot provide a basis for not complying with discovery and other obligations on this case for such a lengthy period. If there is a specific obligation that requires an adjournment, plaintiff should consult with defendant's attorney and make an application for an extension of that obligation if necessary noting whether there has been any agreement between the parties. The plaintiff may wish to consent to receive electronic service as this may assist him in litigating this matter. The instructions and form is available at: https://www.nysd.uscourts.gov/forms/consent-electronic-service-pro-se-cases The Clerk is directed to mail a copy of this Order to plaintiff.
