ORDER: The Complaint alleges that venue is proper in this Court under 28 U.S.C. 1391(b)(2) because "a substantial portion of the alleged misconduct by Defending giving rise to the claims... occurred in this District." Dkt. 1 ("Complaint") Paragraph 4. For venue to be proper under 28 U.S.C. 1391(b)(2), "significant events or omissions material to the plaintiff's claim must have occurred in the district in question, even if other material events occurred elsewhere." Gulf Ins. Co. v. Glasbrenner, 417 F.3d 353, 357 (2d Cir. 2005). Yet the Complaint does not mention any events that took place within this District. The Complaint instead focuses on events taking place in Ithaca, New York and Cortland, New York, two cities outside of this District. See, e.g., Complaint Paragraphs 25-34. By November 1, 2021, Plaintiff shall therefore file a submission showing cause why venue is proper in this Court. SO ORDERED. (Signed by Judge John P.
