TEXT ORDER granting Respondent's request to transfer the case because this Court does not have jurisdiction. See Oppn 3-4, ECF NO #2 . Although Petitioner currently resides in a Rhode Island Re-Entry Center, the Bureau of Prisons New York, New York Residential Re-Entry Management Office is his custodian. See ECF No 2-1. Accordingly, this Court does not have jurisdiction over this case; the Southern District of New York does, however. See 28 U.S.C. 2242; Vasquez v. Reno, 233 F.3d 688, 691 (1st Cir. 2000); see also Mendez v. Martin, No. CV 15-408ML, 2016 WL 2849598, at *3 (D.R.I. Apr. 19, 2016), report and recommendation adopted, No. CV 15-408 ML, 2016 WL 2732182 (D.R.I. May 10, 2016). The Clerk is directed to transfer this case to the Southern District of New York.
