ORDER denying as moot #13 Letter Motion for Extension of Time to Answer re #13 CONSENT LETTER MOTION for Extension of Time to File Answer re: #1 Complaint addressed to Judge Gregory H. Woods from Lacy H. Koonce, III dated September 6, 2023. The Court's August 15, 2023 order, Dkt. No. 9, states that the "date by which Defendant must answer or otherwise respond to the complaint is the date of the IPTC, unless otherwise ordered." The initial pretrial conference in this case is set for November 29, 2023. Defendant's request for an extension of time to respond to the complaint until September 26, 2023, Dkt. ORDER denying #10 . On September 5, 2023, the parties filed a joint stipulation that purports to extend the deadline for Defendant to respond to the complaint. Dkt. No. 10. The stipulation did not request the Court's endorsement. The Court is not acting on the stipulation because there is no request for Court action. The Court's Individual Rule 1(F) requires that any proposed stipulation be accompanied by a joint letter. No letter was submitted with the stipulation. Because no request was made for any action by the Court and because the parties failed to comply with the Court's Individual Rules, the Court declines to take any action in response to the stipulation. The stipulation is not effective to modify the answer deadline without Court endorsement. Moreover, the Court observes that no lawyer has entered a notice of appearance on behalf of Defendant.
