March 10, 2021 Opinion or Order Filing 10 TRANSFER ORDER: This action is transferred to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in White Plains, New York. Rule 18(a)(i) of the Rules for the Division of Business Among District Judges in the Southern District provides that: A civil case shall be designated for assignment in White Plains if: (i) The claim arose in whole or in major part in the Counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam. Rockland, Sullivan and Westchester (the "Northern Counties") and at least one of the parties resides in the Northern Counties. Plaintiff alleges that he was deprived of his constitutional rights under the Fourth Amendment by members of the Yonkers Police Department during the course of his arrest. Since defendants are domiciled and reside in Westchester County and all of the events giving rise to this suit arose there, transfer in this case is appropriate. The Clerk of the Court shall reassign this case to the Courthouse in White Plains pursuant to Local Rule 19. So Ordered (Signed by Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald on 3/10/2021) (js)
