Krause on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. for Plaintiff and Defendant U.S. Bank, N.A. Based on representations on the docket from counsel for U.S. Bank that a "short conference" might help these parties resolve this matter, see ECF Nos. 64, 66, the Court is fitting in this 90-minute proceeding on relatively short notice in the hope that this will be a sufficient amount of time. On or before Friday, May 20, 2022, Plaintiff and Defendant U.S. Bank, N.A.-the only participants in the conference-must each submit a confidential, ex parte letter not to exceed five (5) pages in length. The letter must summarize (i) the history of settlement negotiations; (ii) the issues in the case; (iii) the party's settlement valuation of the case and the rationale(s) for it; and (iv) any other facts that would be helpful to the Court in preparation for the conference. Between the date of this order and the date of the conference, Plaintiff must make at least one new concrete settlement demand, and U.S. Bank must make at least one new concrete settlement offer.
