January 13, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 3 ORDER granting #2 Motion for Service by US Marshal. The Clerk of Court shall send Harris one Marshal form and a summons for each named defendant. Upon receipt of the Marshal forms and summonses, Harris shall pay the service fee of $8.00 per summons and complaint to the Marshals by money order or certified check and provide the Marshals with all necessary papers for service, including a copy of this order, a copy of the complaint, a completed marshal form for each defendant, and one summons issued by the Clerk of Court for each defendant. Upon receipt of the service fees and papers, the Marshals shall effect service of the summons and complaint upon the defendants. Harris is advised he must effect service within the 90 days of the date the summons is issued. It is Harris's responsibility to inquire of the Marshals as to whether service has been made and if necessary, to request an extension of time for service. If, within 90 days of issuance of the summons, Harris has not made service or requested an extension of time in which to do so, the Court may dismiss this action for failure to prosecute. Harris shall notify the Court in writing if his address changes. The Court may dismiss the action if Harris fails to do so. Signed by Hon. Lawrence J. Vilardo on 1/13/2020.
