ORDER: John Willie Stone, an inmate at the Turney Center Industrial Complex in Only, Tennessee, has filed a pro se petition for the writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2254 (Doc. Initial scrutiny of the petition reveals that it challenges the petitioner's 2016 conviction in the Bedford County Circuit Court at Shelbyville, Tennessee. (Doc. No. #1 at 1.) Bedford County lies within the Eastern District of Tennessee. Accordingly, pursuant to this court's authority to "transfer any civil action to any other district or division where it might have been brought," 28 U.S.C. 1404(a), the Clerk is DIRECTED to transfer this action to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, Winchester Division.
