ORDER: Darelle Wilkins, an inmate at the Hickman County Jail in Centerville, Tennessee, has filed a pro se civil rights complaint under 42 U.S.C. 1983 (Doc. No. #1 ) and an application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis (IFP). (Doc. No. #2 .) Because it fails to meet this statutory requirement, Plaintiff's IFP application (Doc. No. #2 ) is DENIED WITHOUT PREJUDICE to the filing of a new, properly supported application. The Clerk of Court is DIRECTED to mail Plaintiff a blank IFP application (Form AO 240). With this case not yet properly filed, Plaintiff's motion to appoint counsel (Doc. No. #4 ) is DENIED as premature. Plaintiff's motion to amend in order to correct his Complaint's characterization of the source of his constitutional claim (Doc. No. #7 ) amounts to a motion to correct a mere clerical error and, as such, is GRANTED. Signed by District Judge William L. Campbell, Jr on 6/6/2023.
