Filing 5 ORDER: The undersigned takes judicial notice that this case is closely related to the contemporaneously filed case by Stephen Murray against the same defendants, involving the same incident, Case No. 2:19-cv-00046. Accordingly, plaintiff Janice Murray is directed to SHOW CAUSE why this case should not either be dismissed without prejudice for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction or consolidated in a single action with Case No. 2:19-cv-00046. To proceed with claims on behalf of her minor daughter, the plaintiff MUST retain an attorney, who should enter an appearance in this case within 28 days of entry of this order, or file a motion for the appointment of counsel within 28 days of entry of this order. This action is REFERRED to the magistrate judge to issue a show-cause order directing the plaintiff to show (1) why this action should not be consolidated with the case filed by Stephen Murray, Case No. 2:19-cv-00046, which involves the same incident as that at issue in this case and names the same defendants; and (2) why the claims asserted on behalf of Janice Murray's minor daughter should not be dismissed on the grounds that a parent may not bring claims pro se on behalf of a minor child. Plaintiff is further notified that she MUST keep the Court informed at all times of his current address. Failure to do so may result in dismissal of this action for failure to prosecute.
