March 17, 2021 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER: Plaintiff Jonathon Brown, an inmate of the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield, Tennessee, filed this pro se action. (Doc. No. #1 ). He also filed an application to proceed in forma pauperis (Doc. No. #2 ) and "Motion for Investigation against Macon County Sheriff's Department." (Doc. No. #4 ). Under the Prisoner Litigation Reform Act (PLRA), 28 U.S.C. 1915(a), a prisoner bringing a civil action may be permitted to file suit without prepaying the filing fee required by 28 U.S.C. 1914(a). From a review of his application, Plaintiff lacks sufficient financial resources from which to pay the full filing fee in advance. Therefore, his application (Doc. No. #2 ) is hereby GRANTED. Accordingly, Plaintiff is hereby assessed the full filing fee. The Clerk of Court is DIRECTED send a copy of this order to the administrator of inmate trust fund accounts at the Robertson County Detention Facility. Plaintiff SHALL be permitted to amend his complaint, if he so desires, to name an additional defendant or defendants with regard to his Eighth Amendment allegations. For Plaintiff's convenience, the Clerk is DIRECTED to mail Plaintiff a copy of a blank civil rights complaint for prisoners and the Information Sheet entitled "How to Begin a Pro Se Civil Rights Action." Finally, Plaintiff's "Motion for Investigation against Macon County Sheriff's Department" (Doc. No. #4 ) is DENIED. However, should Plaintiff avail himself of the opportunity to amend his complaint and at least one of the new claims added by Plaintiff survives the required PLRA screening, Plaintiff may renew his request for a copy of the videotape referenced in his Motion at the appropriate time.
