Fisher, an inmate of the Turney Center Industrial Complex in Only, Tennessee, has filed a pro se petition for the writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2254. (Doc. No. #1 .) The petitioner has also filed an application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis (IFP). (Doc. No. #2 .) It appears from the application that the petitioner lacks sufficient financial resources from which to pay the fee required to file the petition. Accordingly, the application (Doc. No. #2 ) is GRANTED. The Clerk shall file the petition IFP. Because it is not now readily apparent from the face of the petition that the petitioner is not entitled to such relief, the respondent is DIRECTED to file an answer, plead or otherwise respond to the petition in accordance with Habeas Rule 5 within 30 days of the entry of this Order.
