July 16, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 7 ORDER: This civil action was filed on June 2, 2020, and an initial case management conference has been scheduled for July 20, 2020 (Docket Entry Nos. 4 and 6). No appearance has been entered on behalf of Defendant, nor has a return of service of process been filed. However, Plaintiff's counsel contacted the courtroom deputy on July 16, 2020 to advise that he has been incapacitated due to illness for the last two weeks. It is hereby ORDERED that the initial case management conference is RESCHEDULED for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2020, by telephone conference. The parties are referred to the dial-in instructions in Docket Entry No. 6. Counsel for Plaintiff shall serve a copy of this Order on Defendant. The parties are also reminded of the requirement for preparation of a joint proposed initial case management order (see Docket No. 4), a copy of which (in Word format) must also be emailed to the courtroom deputy as directed. July 10, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER: Given the current responses to the outbreak of the coronavirus known as COVID-19, including the Court's Administrative Order No. 209 amended on July 8, 2020, the initial case management conference in this case, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on July 20, 2020, will be held telephonically. Counsel should use the following dial-in information1 to participate in the telephonic initial case management conference: Dial-in number: 877-402-9753 Access Code: 3808663# Counsel are reminded of the requirement to file a joint proposed initial case management order at least three (3) business days prior to the initial case management conference (with a copy emailed to Ms. Jeanne Cox, Courtroom Deputy [Jeanne_W_Cox@tnmd.uscourts.gov]). If the parties are unable to file a joint proposed initial case management conference by this date, they must file a motion to continue the initial case management conference. The undersigned Magistrate Judge recognizes this is a departure from the usual procedure of attorneys appearing in person for initial case management conference, which will resume as appropriate once there is no longer a need for the current safeguards.
