July 16, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 4 ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: Nonetheless, the Court will allow Petitioner an opportunity to SHOW CAUSE in writing why the Petition should not be dismissed for that reason. A response to this show cause order contending that the Petition should not be dismissed, should Petitioner choose to file one, MUST also include either (1) the $5.00 filing fee, 28 U.S.C. 1914(a), or (2) a motion to proceed as a pauper, which shall include an affidavit stating all assets Petitioner possesses and that he is unable to pay the filing fee, and shall attach a certificate from the warden or other appropriate prison official showing the amount of money that Petitioner has in his inmate trust account. Habeas Rule 3(a). The Clerk SHALL mail Petitioner a copy of the in forma pauperis application form for prisoners. Petitioner may also submit a signed statement of additional "Supporting Facts" to clarify his habeas claims. Any response to this Order must be received by the court within 30 DAYS of the date this Order is entered on the docket, and must include the assigned case number, No. 3:20-cv-00574.
