November 5, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 8 ORDER: James Bostic, a pro se state prisoner, initiated this action by filing a "Request for Emergency Help Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus" challenging the calculation of his sentence. (Doc. No. #1 at 15, 12.) This filing is not in the form required by Habeas Rule 2(d), and Bostic did not either pay the $5.00 filing fee or submit an application to proceed as a pauper. Bostic MUST either pay the $5.00 filing fee, submit a properly completed application to proceed as a pauper (including a prison official's certificate of Bostic's account balance), or provide more detail regarding prison officials' asserted refusal to assist him in obtaining the paperwork necessary to proceed as a pauper in this case. Bostic also MUST complete and return the form habeas corpus petition accompanying this order. Bostic must use neat handwriting and answer all the questions on the form. Bostic may attach additional pages to the form if necessary to answer the questions. Bostic is warned that the court will only consider information on the form petition, or information attached to the form, and not any other miscellaneous filing Bostic may submit. Bostic's submissions must be received in this court within 30 DAYS of the date this order is entered on the docket, and must include the assigned case number, No. 3:20-cv-00790.
