Filing 20 DOCKET TEXT ORDER. Plaintiff has moved to recuse me and to rescind the order denying his motion for a temporary restraining order on the basis of an allegedly improper referral to Magistrate Judge Bennett and a suggestion that I am biased. See Dkt. No. 17. As Judge Bennett explained, this case was properly referred. See Dkt. No. 18 at 89. And Plaintiff offers no support for his suggestion that I am biased against him other than my denial of his request for an ex parte temporary restraining order. But it is well settled that adverse rulings do not provide grounds for recusal. See Glass v. Pfeffer, 849 F.2d 1261, 1268 (10th Cir. 1988). Finally, nothing in Plaintiff's motion provides any legal basis to justify reconsideration of the order denying his motion for a temporary restraining order. For these reasons, Plaintiff's motion is DENIED. SO ORDERED. Signed by Judge Howard C. Nielson, Jr. on 6/30/2022. (dgg) |

Filing 12 DOCKET TEXT ORDER. Having carefully reviewed #7 Plaintiff's motion, the verified complaint, and the exhibits offered in support of these filings, the court concludes that Plaintiff has failed to clearly show that an ex parte temporary restraining order is warranted. Fed. R. Civ. P. 65(b)(1)(A); see also Granny Goose Foods, Inc. v. Bhd. of Teamsters & Auto Truck Drivers Loc. No. 70 of Alameda Cty., 415 U.S. 423, 439 (1974); cf. Winter v. Nat. Res. Def. Council, Inc., 555 U.S. 7, 20, 24 (2008). To the extent Plaintiff seeks such relief, his motion is DENIED.
