** TEXT ONLY ORDER **At an August 2, 2023 telephonic conference, the court set a tentative, skeletal schedule. In light of the motion to remand, discovery is stayed until the court denies the motion or until January 2, 2024, whichever comes first. Defendants reported that if the motion to remand is denied, then they will promptly file a Rule 12(b)(6) motion, which will result in another three-month discovery stay, pursuant to the court's standing order. For now, this is the schedule: Rule 23 motions must be filed not later than July 1, 2024, Rule 56 motions must be filed not later than January 6, 2025, and jury selection and trial will begin August 4, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. We will revisit where we find ourselves and where we are headed at a January 2, 2024 1:00 p.m. telephonic status and scheduling conference.
