Mitchell et al v. Winkler County et al
Plaintiffs, former nurses at Winkler County Memorial Hospital, were terminated and charged with a third degree offense of misuse of official information for filing a complaint against Dr. Rolando G. Arafile Jr. with the Texas Medical Board. Plaintiffs alleged that Defendants violated their constitutional rights to free speech and due process, and have conspired to intimate and threaten Plaintiffs' from filing any civil action. Plaintiffs also alleged that Defendants have violated the Texas Whistleblower Statute, the Texas Occupational Code, the Texas Health and Safety Code, and have interfered with Plaintiffs' business relationship and at will employment.
