February 9, 2012 Opinion or Order Filing 16 OPINION AND ORDER: After carefully examining the administrative record, I conclude that the Commissioners findings were not supported by substantial evidence in two respects: (1) an inadequate explanation for not giving the treating physician opinion s controlling weight; and (2) an insufficient explanation of his determination of plaintiffs RFC. Accordingly, the Court hereby vacates the Commissioners decision and remands the matter pursuant to Sentence Four of section 405(g) for further administ rative proceedings. Accordingly, plaintiffs motion for judgment on the pleadings is granted and the Commissioners crossmotion is denied. The Clerk of the Court is directed to close these motions [Docket Nos. 9 &13] and this case. (Signed by Judge Shira A. Scheindlin on 2/9/2012) (ft)
