ORDER directing that the deadline for applications is extended from 1/26/2022 to 2/11/2022. The original signed application packet and 10 copies must be received no later than 2/11/2022, by Debra P. Hackett, Clerk of Court. They must be mailed to arrive by 2/11/2022, to Clerk U.S. District Court, One Church Street, Montgomery, AL 36104, as further set out in order. Further ORDERING that the deadline for the Merit Selection Panel to meet and review all applicants and recommend to the judges of the district the five persons whom the Selection Panel considers best qualified is extended from 3/4/2022 to 3/18/2022. ORDERED by this Court that the following citizens of the Middle District of Alabama be and they are hereby appointed to constitute the Merit Selection Panel, as further set out in order; directing the clerk to serve this order on the members of the Merit Selection Committee hereby providing the notice in writing of the restrictions below found in 420.30.20(d). The appointment of the Merit Selection Panel is effective 1/10/2022. The panel will meet and review all applicants and recommend to the judges of the district, in confidence, on or before 3/4/2022, the five persons whom the Selection Panel considers best qualified. Public notice has been given of the vacancy of this position. The public notice required that applications are to be submitted no later than 1/26/2022, to Debra P. Hackett, Clerk of Court. The clerk will be available to the Panel to furnish any necessary clerical assistance; directing the clerk to provide the Magistrate Judge's Division of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts with a copy of this order.
