Mass.). The notice of appeal is signed only by plaintiff-appellant Alan J. Ross, purportedly on behalf of both himself and co-plaintiff-appellant Ruth Ross. Although Fed. R. App. P. 3(c)(2) provides that a pro se notice of appeal is considered filed on behalf of the signer and the signer's spouse, a lay person may represent only him or herself. See Herrera-Venegas v.
