June 29, 2020 Opinion or Order ORDER to Show Cause entered: On June 18, 2020, plaintiff-appellant John Karvelas filed a notice of appeal (no. 64) in No. 1:18-cv-11260-LTS (D. Mass.) from the order dismissing the case entered on January 29, 2020, which this court has docketed as Appeal No. 20-1616. This appeal appears to be duplicative of Appeal No. 20-1252, an action commenced by another notice of appeal (no. 59) appealing the same order. We further note that the notice of appeal appears to be untimely. See Fed. R. App. P. 4(a)(1)(A) (notice of appeal in a civil case must be filed within 30 days of judgment or order appealed from). Accordingly, the plaintiff-appellant is ordered either to move for voluntary dismissal of this appeal pursuant to Fed. R. App. P. 42(b), or to show cause, in writing filed by July 13, 2020 , why it should not be dismissed as duplicative and untimely. The failure to take either action will lead to dismissal of the appeal for lack of diligent prosecution. See 1st Cir. R. 3.0(b). [20-1616] (AL) [Entered: 06/29/2020 02:12 PM]
