August 1, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 9 ORDER: The amended docketing statements of appellant filed on August 1, 2024, do not comply with this courts July 31, 2024, order, which requested that appellant provide a complete statement of jurisdiction. Specifically, Circuit Rule 3(c)(1), referencing Circuit Rule 28(a), requires an appellant to file a docketing statement which provides information concerning the district courts jurisdiction and this courts jurisdiction. Notwithstanding this requirement, appellants amended docketing statementswhich continue to use an inappropriate form intended for a different federal court of appeals and crafted towards that courts unique proceduresfail to provide any explanation for why appellant believes the district court had jurisdiction over this litigation, let alone with the level of detail required by Circuit Rule 28(a)(1). Accordingly, appellant shall file a second amended docketing statement that does not use an inappropriate form and (1) explains the basis for federal jurisdiction over this suit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, with a citation to the applicable statutory provisions and stating relevant facts believed to establish jurisdiction consistent with Circuit Rule 28(a)(1) and (2) identifies the correct statutory provision believed to confer jurisdiction on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the date of the entry of the judgment or decree sought to be reviewed, the dates of any relevant post-judgment motions, and the date that the notice of appeal was filed consistent with Circuit Rule 28(a)(2). The second amended docketing statement shall be filed on or before August 8, 2024. Further, in light of this order, the motion to correct is DENIED as unnecessary.
