July 29, 2012 Opinion or Order Filing 39 MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER. For the reasons set forth herein, Plaintiffs' 25 Motion for Conditional Certification is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN PART. The motion is GRANTED insofar as Plaintiffs seek conditional certification of this cas e as a collective action and authorization to send notices to the following: (1) with respect to Plaintiffs' meal break claim, all non-exempt, hourly employees who work or worked in WHC's Emergency Department or 4NE Medical Cardiology Unit in any workweek from May 26, 2008 to today's date; and (2) with respect to Plaintiffs' uniform maintenance claim, all non-exempt, hourly employees who work or worked at any of the nine MedStar hospitals at issue during any workweek from May 26, 2008 to today's date, with subclasses for the District of Columbia hospitals (GUH, NRH, and WHC) and the Maryland hospitals (FSMC, GSH, HH, MMC, SMH, and UMH). Plaintiffs' Motion for Conditional Certification is otherwise DENIED. The parties shall promptly meet and confer to discuss what information about potential party-plaintiffs should be gathered and to craft appropriate written notices. By no later than August 15, 2012, the parties shall file a Joint Status Report advising the Court of the status of their efforts and attaching jointly proposed notices.
