Plaintiff Theresa Cook sues Defendant Skechers shoe company, alleging that the brand and its Shape-Up toning shoes "lulled" her "into purchasing a dangerous product [that the company] knew produced a substantial risk of causing chronic injuries and inducing falls," that the shoe provides "no benefit to her health," and that the Shape-Ups she purchased caused her to fall, become injured, require surgery, and make her unable to work.
