Set/Reset Deadlines: Plaintiff's response to Defendant's #5 Motion to Dismiss due by 9/27/2018. (hmc) |
MINUTE ORDER granting Plaintiff's #8 Motion for Extension of Time. Plaintiff shall now respond to Defendant's #5 Motion to Dismiss by September 27, 2018. Plaintiff is again warned that failure to respond may result in the Motion being treated as conceded, leading to dismissal of her case. Plaintiff is warned that future nondispositive motions should comply with Local Civil Rule 7(m), which provides, "Before filing any nondispositive motion in a civil action, counsel shall discuss the anticipated motion with opposing counsel in a good-faith effort to determine whether there is any opposition to the relief sought and, if there is, to narrow the areas of disagreement. The duty to confer also applies to non-incarcerated parties appearing pro se. A party shall include in its motion a statement that the required discussion occurred, and a statement as to whether the motion is opposed." Finally, Plaintiff is warned that future motions for an extension of time must comply with the Court's #4 Standing Order, including the requirement that any motion to extend must be filed at least four business days before the first deadline to be extended.
