ORDER. It is ORDERED that this case is STAYED pending the resolution of the appeal of the related case, Mengesha v. Rice, Case No. 19-cv-3304. It is FURTHER ORDERED that plaintiff must show cause why this case should not be dismissed for want of prosecution by August 16, 2021, given his failure to respond to the Court's June 24, 2021 Order. MINUTE ORDER. Given the substantial overlap between the factual allegations, legal contentions, and parties in the instant complaint and in the related case, Mengesha v. Rice, No. 19-3304, 2020 WL 7024207 (D.D.C. Nov. 30, 2020), and the fact that an opinion by the D.C. Circuit could control the outcome of much of the instant case, the Court is of the view that it would be more efficient to conserve the resources of the judiciary and the parties by staying the instant case pending appeal of the related case. It is ORDERED that plaintiff must inform the Court by July 15, 2021, if there is any reason that this case should not be stayed pending further order of the Court.
