MINUTE ORDER: Plaintiff is not proceeding in forma pauperis in this case and is therefore responsible for arranging to have the summonses and a copy of the complaint served on the defendants in accordance with Federal Rule of Civil procedure 4(i). Moreover, Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(m) provides a period of 90 days to serve defendants. The Court notes that the complaint was filed in this case on October 8, 2021, and summons were issued on the same day. Plaintiff has filed an Affidavit of Service that indicates service was made on August 11, 2021, before this case was filed, and done in part via email. Plaintiff is advised that he must serve the defendant with the summons and a copy of the complaint filed in this case on or before January 6, 2022, and that email is not a permissible means of service. Accordingly, it is ORDERED that Plaintiff shall properly effect service on the defendant in accordance with Fed. R. Civ. P. 4 on or before January 6, 2022. Signed by Judge Christopher R.
