July 14, 2022 Opinion or Order MINUTE ORDER. Upon consideration of the defendants' #12 Partial Consent Motion for Extension of Time and the plaintiffs' #13 Partial Opposition, it is hereby ORDERED that the motion is GRANTED IN PART. Pursuant to Local Civil Rule 65.1(d), the Court concludes that "a later hearing date" than that contemplated by the rule "will not prejudice the parties" because the plaintiff partially consents to the motion and the defendants need time sufficient to conduct the historical research necessary to respond to this motion. Accordingly, the defendants shall file, on or before September 16, 2022, their opposition to the plaintiffs' #7 Motion for a Preliminary Injunction, and the plaintiffs shall file, on or before October 16, 2022, their reply. Absent extraordinary circumstances, the Court is not inclined to grant any further extensions. It is further ORDERED that the defendants' obligation to answer or otherwise respond to the #1 Complaint is HELD IN ABEYANCE pending the Court's resolution of the #7 Motion for a Preliminary Injunction. It is further ORDERED that the defendants' #14 Motion for Expedited Discovery is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN PART. The plaintiffs shall respond, on or before July 28, 2022, to interrogatories one, two, and five in #14 -3 Exhibit A. So Ordered by Judge Dabney L. Friedrich on July 14, 2022. (lcdlf3)
