MINUTE ORDER denying #2 Motion for TRO: The Court ORDERS that the Motion is DENIED. Plaintiff Mr. Shaw moves for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), asking the Court to stop his eviction, honor the Americans with Disabilities Act, and "adhere to civil rights laws." But evictions are not typically matters heard in federal court, and the Court cannot enter a TRO ordering itself or Defendants to generally adhere to the law, which all Parties are already under obligation to do. It has also come to the Court's attention that Mr. Shaw contacted the Clerk's Office shortly after he filed his Motion to inform the Court that he had already been evicted. For those reasons, the Motion is denied. Signed by Judge Jia M. Cobb on August 19, 2022. (lcjmc2) |
