MINUTE ORDER: In order for this Court to have diversity jurisdiction over this case, the amount in controversy must exceed $75,000. The only claim here is for breach of contract, and "[d]amages for emotional harm stemming from any breach is not recoverable under District of Columbia law." Bond v. U.S. Dep't of Just., 828 F. Supp. 2d 60, 80 (D.D.C. 2011) (citing Asuncion v. Columbia Hosp. for Women, 514 A.2d 1187, 1190 (D.C. 1986)). To ensure that it has subject-matter jurisdiction, therefore, the Court ORDERS that by February 1, 2023, Plaintiffs shall file a Notice itemizing their economic damages from the alleged breach.
