MINUTE ORDER. The plaintiff's #6 motion to remand is DENIED. Because the plaintiff resides (and thus, presumably, is domiciled) in Maryland, and because Henkel is incorporated in Delaware with its principal place of business in Connecticut, the parties are completely diverse. See Hertz Corp. v. Friend, 559 U.S. 77 (2010); Strawbridge v. Curtiss, 7 U.S. (3 Cranch.) 267 (1806). And because plaintiff demanded $1 million in her state-court complaint, the amount in controversy in this action exceeds $75,000. Hence the jurisdictional prerequisites of 28 U.S.C. 1332 are satisfied. So Ordered by Judge Dabney L. Friedrich on July 25, 2023. (lcdlf1)
