MINUTE ORDER: Before Defendant removed this case from the District of Columbia Superior Court, as far as the Court can tell, Plaintiff did not serve Defendant in accordance with the D.C. Superior Court Rules of Civil Procedure. Plaintiff therefore has 90 days from the removal of this action--here, until November 18, 2024--to serve Defendant consistent with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(i)(1), because the Defendant is the United States. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(m). Thus, it is hereby ORDERED that by November 18, 2024, Plaintiff shall either (1) cause process to be served upon Defendant and file proof of service with the Court, or (2) file a motion to enlarge the time to serve process and show good cause, if any, for failure to serve process in a timely fashion.
