Motions to modify the trial date must specifically state the basis for the request, including detailed factual support, and must provide a compelling reason. The parties are further advised that the Court is strongly disinclined to modify the trial date based upon the scheduling "tracks" contained within the Local Rules and/or based upon vague references to the complexities of the case. May 22, 2025 Opinion or Order Filing 8 PAPERLESS ORDER granting #7 Motion for Extension of Time. Defendants seek to extend the deadline to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint (DE #1 ) by 30 days. In support, Defendants state that the three agencies subject to Plaintiff's FOIA request are "working to resolve, if possible, Plaintiff's request for records without the need for further litigation." Motions for Extension of Time must demonstrate good cause supported by specific facts. On the facts supplied, and because the Motion is unopposed, I will grant the relief requested. Accordingly, Defendants shall respond to Plaintiff's Complaint on or by June 28, 2025. Given the length of the requested extension however, the Parties are advised that the Court will be disinclined to entertain any further extensions to respond to the Complaint, absent compelling circumstances.
