ORDER re #1 MOTION for Order to Show Cause filed by U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Court ORDERS Bveda to respond to the Commission's Application on or before May 7, 2021. The Commission may file a reply FOURTEEN (14) DAYS after any such response. If Bveda fails to file a response to the Application, then the Court may assume Bveda does not oppose the Commission's request for judicial enforcement of the January 8, 2021 subpoena. If no response is filed, the Court ORDERS Bveda to appear before the Commission at its Atlanta Regional Office, 950 East Paces Ferry Road, Suite 900, Atlanta, Georgia 30326 on May 14, 2020 at 10 a.m. and to comply with the January 8, 2021 subpoena by producing the records and documents requested therein and giving testimony touching the matter under investigation or in question. The Court cautions Bveda that failure to obey this Order may be punished by this Court as contempt. The Court ORDERS the Commission or its representatives to serve this Order along with the Application #1 , all attachments thereto [1-1 through 1-4], and the Civil Cover Sheet #3 upon Bveda or its counsel by overnight courier services, or facsimile with simultaneous mailing, or any means reasonably designed to give Bveda prompt notice of this Order no later than April 23, 2021. The Court DIRECTS the Clerk to mail this Order to Bveda at the following address: Bveda Asset Management, Inc. c/o George Kenneth Ken Witherspoon, Jr. 15720 Brixham Hill Ave, Charlotte, NC 28277.
