DOCKET ENTRY ORDER granting #2 Motion to Seal. Pending before the Court is Plaintiff's unopposed Motion to Seal portions of the Complaint and the Employment Agreement attached to the Complaint as Exhibit A (the "Agreement"). Dkt. 2. The Complaint and Agreement contain confidential financial information identifying Plaintiff's pricing terms, revenue projections, and various pricing adjustments. In addition, the pricing terms in the Complaint and Agreement constitute confidential information protected by a confidentiality provision in a separate, related agreement. Because the public disclosure of such information could harm Plaintiff's competitive standing, the Court finds a compelling reason to seal the Complaint and Agreement. Ctr. for Auto Safety v. Chrysler Grp., LLC, 809 F.3d 1092, 1096-97 (9th Cir. 2016); In re Elec. Arts, Inc., 298 F. App'x 568, 569 (9th Cir. 2008) (explaining the public disclosure of "pricing terms, royalty rates, and guaranteed minimum payment terms" may harm a party's competitive standing). Plaintiff's Motion to Seal (Dkt. 2) is accordingly GRANTED. Plaintiff correctly filed the Complaint and Agreement under seal, as well as redacted copies for the public record.
