TEXT ORDER entered by Judge Michael M. Mihm on 10/20/2025. Plaintiff initially filed this class action complaint in Singla v. United States, et al., C.D. Ill. Case No. 25-cv-1426, which was transferred to the Northern District of Illinois pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1404 on 10/17/2025. The action was transferred because many of the named Defendants resided in the Northern District. Singla, No. 25-cv-1426-JEH-RLH. The Court also noted that the Complaint, Motion to Proceed IFP and Motions for Expedited Discovery, Fee Waiver, Appointment of Counsel, and Other Relief identified the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division, further indicating that transfer was proper. Singla, No. 25-cv-1426-JEH-RLH. After the Court transferred his case, Plaintiff filed the present Complaint, Motion to Proceed IFP and Motions for Expedited Discovery, Fee Waiver, Appointment of Counsel, and Other Relief. These filings are substantially the same as the ones that were previously transferred, except that it names two additional defendants, and it now references the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. The Complaint even identifies the Case No. as 1:25-cv-01426-JEH-RLH. (D. 1, p. 2). Becuase this case does not significantly differ from Singla, Case No. 1:25-cv-01426-JEH-RLH, the Court finds that that dismissal is appropriate. See McReynolds v. Merrill Lynch & Co., 694 F.3d 873, 888 (7th Cir. 2012) (district court have broad discretion to dismiss a complaint "for reasons of wise judicial administration" such as, when the action is "duplicative of a parallel action already pending in another federal court") (internal citation omitted). The Clerk is directed to dismiss the complaint and all pending motions, enter judgment, and close this case. (AWR)
