TEXT ORDER entered by Judge Colin S. Bruce on 7/18/2025. Before the court is Defendants' Combined Motion to Dismiss or Transfer Venue #7 , filed on June 16, 2025. Plaintiff has not filed a response. Having reviewed the Motion and arguments therein, the court agrees that venue is improper in the Central District of Illinois. By not filing a response, Plaintiff has not carried her burden in showing the interests of justice support transfer rather than dismissal. See Design Ideas, Ltd. v. YBM Home, Inc., 2024 WL 1342801, at *3 (C.D. Ill. Jan. 23, 2024). Accordingly, Plaintiff's Complaint #1 is DISMISSED without prejudice. See Farmer v. Levenson, 79 F. App'x 918, 922 (7th Cir. 2003) (holding "dismissal for improper venue should be without prejudice"). This case is closed. (RAH)
