Filing 14 GENERAL ORDER 19-0004: RESETTING OF DEADLINES IN CIVIL MATTERS INVOLVING THE UNITED STATES AS A PARTY. IT APPEARING THAT as a result of the partial federal government shutdown, this Court amended General Order 18-0028 suspending as of December 21, 2018, all civil litigation in which the United States of America, its agencies, its officers, or employees were parties, with the stated intention of clarifying schedules in such cases upon the expiration of the lapse in appropriations; and IT FURTHER APPEARING THAT appropriations having been restored to fund the Department of Justice and other Executive Branch agencies, with employees beginning to report for work beginning on January 28, 2019; accordingly IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the stay entered by General Order 18-0028 is hereby lifted, and any and all deadlines in the affected civil litigation (whether established by order, rule, or agreement.), including but not limited to any scheduled discovery and pleading dates, are extended by 42 days. Filing 13 ORDER: This matter comes before the Court on the Motion of Defendant Wise Carter Child & Caraway, P.A. ("Wise Carter") for its Motion for Order Sealing the Record. IT IS ORDERED: 1. Wise Carter's Motion is granted in part and denied in part. The Clerk is directed to place all previous filings under seal and the parties are directed to file all future filings under seal until further order of this Court. 2. Wise Carter's additional requests for relief, including revoking Plaintiff's access to the electronic filing system and requiring Plaintiff to submit all proposed pleadings, motions or dockets for an in camera inspection prior to filing, are denied without prejudice at this time. 3. Wise Carter shall file a Motion to Dismiss and/or Transfer by January 29, 2019. That Motion shall not exceed twenty (20) pages. 4. Plaintiff shall file a combined Response to Wise Carter's Motions for Order Sealing the Record and to Dismiss and/or Transfer by February 26, 2019. Plaintiff's Response shall not exceed twenty (20) pages. 5. Wise Carter shall file a combined Reply in Support of its Motions for Order Sealing the Record and to Dismiss and/or Transfer by March 11, 2019. That Reply shall not exceed fifteen (15) pages. 6. Wise Carter's Motion to Dismiss and/or Transfer is tentatively set for ruling on March 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. 7. All further proceedings in this case are stayed pending further order of Court. 8. Plaintiff is to abstain from taking any further action(s) against the United States of America or any of its agents, agencies, departments or employees, pending resolution of the government shut-down and consistent with this Court's January 11, 2019 Order.
