Filing 6 ORDER: Plaintiffs recent correspondence to the Court states he directed the trust fund officer at his facility to pay the filing fee for this case. To date, the Court has received neither payment of the $400 filing fee nor an in forma pauperis (IFP) application to pay the fee with monthly deductions from his prison trust account. The Clerk of Court shall send a copy of Plaintiffs Notification to the Court #5 to the trust fund officer at Menard Correctional Center, who may be able to determine if Plaintiff requested payment of the filing fee. The Court notes that the trust account statement submitted with the Notification shows that Plaintiff had a balance of $4,317 as of December 3, 2018, four months before he filed this suit. If Plaintiff had the same or similar funds at the time he initiated this suit in April of 2019, he will not qualify for IFP status and will have to prepay the $400 filing fee before this case proceeds. The Court will not conduct its initial review of the complaint to determine if it states valid claims until the filing fee issue has been resolved. The due date of 6/4/19 is extended to 6/212/19. Plaintiff's failure by that date to either prepay the $400 filing fee upfront or submit a completed IFP application (with a trust account statement from October 2018 to April 2019) will result in summary dismissal of this case without prejudice. Signed by the Honorable Marvin E. Aspen on 5/28/2019/. Mailed notice(gcy, ) |

The Court has no record of receiving an IFP application for this case. To proceed with this case, Plaintiff must either submit a completed IFP application or prepay the $400 filing fee by June 4, 2019. His failure to comply will result in summary dismissal of this case without prejudice. See N.D. Ill. Local Rule 3.3(f).
