Filing 5
ORDER: The Court denies Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 because it is incomplete. Plaintiff must either (1) prepay the full $405.00 filing fee or (2) submit a renewed application to proceed in forma pauperis that complies with the instructions below. Failure to comply by June 25, 2026, will result in dismissal of this case. The Court denies Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation #4 for two reasons: first, the motion reports that Plaintiff contacted only one lawyer, which is not enough to show that he made a reasonable effort to obtain counsel on his own, and second, the case is at too early a stage to know whether Plaintiff needs recruited counsel to pursue a viable claim. The Court defers the screening of Plaintiff's complaint until after his fee status has been resolved. The Clerk of Court is directed to send a copy of this order to Plaintiff at his address of record along with a blank application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis. Signed by the Honorable Manish S. Shah on 5/21/2026: Mailed notice. (rc, )
