ORDER : On September 5, 2023, this court directed Petitioner Kenneth White, a federal prisoner at USP Thomson, by September 29, 2023, to either pay the $5.00 filing fee or submit an in forma pauperis (IFP) application demonstrating his inability to pay it. To date, the court has received neither. The docket and Bureau of Prisons records show that Petitioner is still at USP Thomson and that the September 5, 2023 order, along with an IFP application, were mailed to him there. The court's prior order advised that a dismissal without prejudice would result if he did not satisfy the filing fee requirement. Accordingly, the court dismisses this case without prejudice. See N.D. Ill. Local Rule 3.3(f); Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b); see also Dietz v. Bouldin, 579 U.S. 40, 47 (2016) ("district courts have the inherent authority to manage their dockets with a view toward the efficient and expedient resolution of cases"). Civil case terminated. ORDER Petitioner Kenneth White, a federal prisoner at USP Thomson, brings this 28 U.S.C. 2241 petition challenging a 2004 prison disciplinary report, about which he states he recently learned. Petitioner, however, has neither paid the $5.00 filing fee, nor submitted an in forma pauperis (IFP) application demonstrating his inability to pay it. Petitioner must satisfy the filing fee requirement either: (1) by paying the $5.00 fee with a check or money order made payable to Clerk, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; or (2) by submitting a completed IFP application with a certificate section filled out by an authorized officer at his facility and a copy of his prison trust account statement for the past six months. Petitioner's failure to comply with this order by September 29, 2023, will result in summary dismissal of this case without prejudice. See N.D. Ill. Local Rule 3.3(f).
