Order Regarding #4 Motion for Hearing: With respect to Petitioner's request for copies, as a one-time courtesy, the Court DIRECTS the Clerk of the Court to transmit a copy of Docs. #1 , #4 , and #5 , as well as a copy of the docket sheet to Petitioner. As a general rule, the District Clerk will mail paper copies of any document only after receiving prepayment of the required fee (i.e., $.50 per page). All further requests for documents should be made in writing to the Clerk of Court by referring to the case number and the document number and submitting the required prepayment. Plaintiff also requests a hearing so he can explain why his life is in imminent danger. The request is DENIED without prejudice. Petitioner has not provided enough information for the Court to determine if a hearing is necessary. Further, if Petitioner's request pertains to the conditions of his confinement, he cannot seek relief in this habeas action. Instead, his remedy is under civil rights law.
