Filing 10 RECEIPT #IP063345 for partial filing fee in the amount of $6.44, paid by Plaintiff. (DJH) |
Filing 8 FINAL ORDER DIRECTING PLAINTIFF TO PAY FILING FEE - On November 7, 2018, the Court ordered Plaintiff Michael Boyd to pay an initial partial filing fee of $6.44. Dkt. #6 . Mr. Boyd's deadline to do so was December 6, 2018. That deadline has passed, and the Court has not received any payment or other response from Mr. Boyd. The filing fee is overdue, and it is not unusual for a case to be dismissed when the plaintiff fails to resolve the filing fee as directed. See Bates v. Thompson, 234 F.3d 1272 (7th Cir. 2000) (discussing dismissal of action for failure to pay filing fee). Accordingly, Mr. Boyd shall have through December 31, 2018 to pay the initial partial filing fee. Failure to do so in the time allotted will result in the dismissal of this action without further notice. The clerk is directed to include a copy of dkt. 6 with Mr. Boyd's copy of this Order. Signed by Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson on 12/11/2018. Copies to Plaintiff via US mail.(JDH) |
