Entry Granting Leave to Proceed In Forma Pauperis, Denying Motion for Leave to Amend, Dismissing Action, and Directing Entry of Final Judgment - The plaintiff's motion to proceed in forma pauperis, dkt. #7 , is granted to the extent that the plaintiff is assessed an initial partial filing fee of Five Dollars and One Cent ($5.01). The plaintiff shall have through March 7, 2019, in which to pay this sum to the clerk of the district court. Although the plaintiff is excused from pre-paying the full filing fee, he is still must pay the three hundred and fifty ($350.00) filing fee pursuant to the statutory formula set forth in 28 U.S.C. 1915(b)(2) when able. The plaintiff's motion for leave to amend, dkt. #8 , is denied. Moreover, the plaintiff has failed to otherwise show cause why his Complaint should not be dismissed for the reasons explained in the Court's Screening Order. This action is therefore dismissed with prejudice. Final Judgment in accordance with this decision shall issue. (See Entry). Copy to Vincent W. Boyd via U.S. mail.
